Kings Dominion: Virginia’s Premier Themed Amusement Park!

 Located in Doswell, VA, Kings Dominion is Virginia’s only combined water and ride park where guests may ride or slide in the same location. Roller coaster lovers will enjoy 15 coasters including Intimidator 305, voted the best new coaster of 2010, as well as many other thrill rides and coasters. Water lovers can spend the day in WaterWorks, 20 acres of splashing fun with 15 slides and two giant wave pools.

If you think riding Drop Tower at Kings Dominion is a thrill (and it is - riders enjoy a breathtaking view of the countryside as they ascend toward the sky, then take a
27-story freefall at 72 miles per hour), wait until you visit the park this year!  Kings Dominion will continue to change the landscape for thrill-seekers and families in 2012 with WindSeeker, a 301-foot-tall tower that will spin riders 30 stories above the park, and Dinosaurs Alive!, a dinosaur park featuring nearly 40 life-sized, moving, roaring dinosaurs. There is an additional $5 charge to enter Dinosaurs Alive!

NEW WindSeeker

The addition of WindSeeker, a 301-foot-tall tower that spins riders 30 stories above the park, joins our already impressive lineup of world-class thrills at Kings Dominion.  Seated in two-person swings that allow their feet to dangle, riders will slowly begin rotating in a circular motion as the swings ascend the tower.  At the top,
the swings will reach speeds up to 30 miles per hour, flaring out 45 degrees
from the tower.

Dinosaurs Alive!

Families will absolutely love the all-new Dinosaurs Alive! at Kings Dominion.  This attraction features nearly 40 animatronic dinosaurs in a spectacular outdoor forest setting.  Park visitors will truly be able to step back in time to periods between 245 million and 65 million years ago in Dinosaurs Alive!   It's a fun and educational
experience for guests of all ages.
