Hello everyone, and welcome to the site. I am Eric Bland, as you have probably noticed by the domain. In case you do not know me yet, here is some background information...

I was born in Miami, back in 76. Thirty one years goes by pretty quick. I grew up in Miami until graduating high school, then headed off to college in tallahassee. Had a few jobs along the way, sometimes two or three at a time. Starting as a bagboy at 14, then stock, busboy, waiter, valet, sales, manager, and a few others. After finishing my bachelors at FSU in Management Information Systems and Finance, I moved back to South Florida. I started researching search engines. Starting with Google, since they were the well known engine by the universities and research institutions back then. Yahoo, and MSN came out with search engine's a few years later. During the time, I was also working in the Finance industry. I grabbed some state licenses in commodities, insurance, and annuities. Looking for a more technology driven path to success, I transitioned into the internet sector.

I have been in the .com industry for the past few years. Mostly, I have been consulting and project manager for other companies in the area of search engine optimization. Strategy has been my focus for the past few years also. I have been looking for another project opportunity and would like to join an executive/board team. Working for one of the search engine companies would be a good fit too.

Other than that, I had to hang up my recent poker tour hat, after not winning in the last World Poker Tour Shooting Stars tournament at San Jose. It was fun to win the 11k package online, but with no overall profit, I had to move on. Maybe one day I will return to play against the world's best poker players.

Beyond that, I like the comedy of Sacha Cohen, Stern, Simmon's Def Jams, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and more.
