MAAP 2012 DATES: JUNE 18TH-AUGUST 10TH 


The Movement Activist Apprenticeship Program (MAAP), established in 1985, is an 8-week-long intensive training program that provides people of color with the opportunity to develop skills and experience in grassroots organizing. For over 25 years, MAAP has been the country's flagship organizer-training program for people of color, bringing motivated young activists together from all over the country to teach them the science andart of organizing communities.

APPLICATION PROCESS 


Applicants are to send the written application via email, mail or fax to CTWO Attn: Program Coordinator. Simultaniously or shortly after sending the written application, applicants need to register for a Community Action Training (CAT) during the Spring Series These trainings fill up quickly so please register as soon as you know that you want to participate. Sometime during the CAT session, applicants should expect an interview with either a CTWO staff member or a MAAP alumni. No need to prepare for this interview- just be ready to be yourself!


BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:


- Must be a person of color


- Must be 18 years or oldder


- Must submitt application


** Please note that the MAAP application will not be complete untill applicant registers for a CAT **

CTWO will be holding a special Community Action Training for MAAP applicants on May 4th-6th in Oakland, California. When registering for the CAT, please select the "CAT For MAAP Applicants" from the drop down menu. If you cannot attend this CAT please contact Araceli ASAP.


**If you are not a MAAP applicant, please do not attempt to register to attend this CAT. Spaces are recerved for MAAP applicatns- NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
