Web Resources for Police: Canine Legal Update and Opinions

by Scott on January 23, 2009

The guru of police K9 case law is Dr. Terry Fleck.  He operates a free website, Canine Legal Update and Opinions, that documents the best practices and all federal court cases for police K9 handlers and administrators.

Terry also presents very useful police dog seminars.  His legal seminar is the best and most comprehensive in the industry but he also uses his 26 years of experience as a police officer and K9 trainer to teach high risk vehicle assaults and tactical tracking for K9 handlers.  Terry instructs at both of the K9 seminars we endorse.

Terry states that his website will close and he will retire from teaching seminars in 2012 so learn from him while you can.

Canine Legal Update and Opinions will be added to our police links page, which contains the list of websites we think are useful resources to street officers, specialized units, or police administrators.
