Following last week's successful launch of Hinterland, Tilted Mill Entertainment today announced that the first free Content Update (details) for the title is now available! It will be automatically downloaded and applied to the game via Steam.
The full title, including the Content Update, includes French, German and Spanish, in a single multi-language version of the game.

An update for Hinterland has been released which improves game start up, addresses a few technical issues for individuals who had problems on initial loading, and includes gameplay tweaks such as a rebalance of difficulty and its affect on your score, and how the presence of random chests were handled in the world. See this thread for the entire change list. The next time you log into Steam, the update will be automatically downloaded and applied!
Tilted Mill has been watching feedback from the community very closely and will be continuing to support the game, so stay tuned!

September 30, 2008 Tilted Mill Entertainment -- independent developers of strategy, simulation and role-playing games today announced the release of Hinterland, a fantasy PC title with fast paced RPG combat and strategic town-building.
In Hinterland you lead a diverse cast of characters to establish a small haven in the wild backcountry of a fantasy kingdom, then carefully select certain individuals to leave their comfortable homes and join your party on expeditions of exploration and conquest in the surrounding lands. There youll encounter hostile enemies, and fight to secure much needed resources to expand your settlement - iron to make weapons, a mystic tome to entice a great mage to join you, or perhaps just magic oats! Success means fame, fortune and prosperity failure means starvation and disgrace. Games can be as short as forty five minutes or as long as five or six hours, depending on your choice of difficulty, game length, map reveal, resource availability, presence of raiders, and other customizable options, as well as which of the fifteen character classes you choose to play, from Knight or Elf Ranger, to Architect or Entrepreneur.
Hinterland is about sitting down for an hour or two, and having loads of fun playing a different kind of Strategy RPG game, and then doing it again in a totally different way and again and again - without not having to shell out a ton of money for that luxury, said Chris Beatrice, president of Tilted Mill. Its a deliberate effort to get away from the mega blockbuster lens flair, screen shot extravaganza and instead focus on gameplay.
Sometimes we dont have time or feel like sitting down for a four hour gaming session to conquer the world or cultivate our pond scum until it takes over the universe- we just want to sit down and have some fun! said Jeff Fiske, co-designer of Hinterland. The game has been referred to as a casual game for core gamers, and I wouldnt argue with that characterization, though it really is a game for all kinds of gamers.

Hinterland Release Date Update
Hinterland was on target to be released this Monday, the 22nd of September. However, we have decided to delay its release a week or two, so that we may implement some additional features and content to the game, many of which came from the excellent suggestions we've received from the community. We want to thank you all for your support and patience. We know this delay may be disappointing to some, but we're confident it will ultimately provide a better play experience for all.

Stardock announced today that Tilted Mill's Children of the Nile: Alexandria, an addition to the Children of the Nile: Enhanced Edition PC game, is now available for $5.99 on Stardocks digital download platform Impulse (www.impulsedriven.com).

As excited as everyone is by Diablo III, you find yourself wondering: what else could an RPG be? Is collecting loot, side-questing, selling to shopkeepers (and repeat) the only way to do it? We've also created a new game demo that features a "quick start" learning scenario, allowing new users to jump right in and start building Egyptian cities, while also showing the new features of the enhanced edition.
