Hi! I’m Agatha Kulesza and this is my upcoming tell all book Sweaty Armpit Duct Tape Girl (in stores 2013).

The story behind the book started when I was 13 years old and I stuck duct tape to my armpits everyday for 6 months.

I had overactive sweat glands and was too ashamed to tell anyone about it, so I taped up my pits instead to barricade the perspiration.

I hated myself back then and hid the real me from everyone. I thought if I showed people who I really was they would not like me.

This type of self loathing is common during adolescence, but what happens when it stays with you into adulthood like it did for me?

Well, I spent many long years trying to fill up my sadness and emptiness with things like men, alcohol, shopping, and work… to name just a few.

By my late 20’s this is where all that got me:

  • I had been to the hospital twice for alcohol poisoning
  • I had heart problems & adrenal burnout from working way too much
  • I was in $30,000 of credit card debt
  • I became a sexual abuse survivor

Thankfully, I got a huge kick in the butt in 2009 when all that stuff I tried to fill myself up with stopped working. So all I was really left with was me.

And that’s when it finally hit me: there was nothing wrong with me. There was nothing that was “not good enough” about me. So why couldn’t I just be myself?!? I finally stopped caring what other people thought about me and it changed everything.

And that is what Sweaty Armpit Duct Tape Girl is all about. It’s the story of how I clawed my way out of the self hate hole and learned how to accept myself, warts and sweaty pits and all.

I hope that telling this brutal honest story will help other people finally have the courage and confidence to just be themselves.

The book won’t be available until late 2013, so if you want a sneak preview type your name and email in the box in the upper right corner to get the first chapter for FREE!
