Predicted Log Race
Welcome to the First Predicted Log Race of the Annual Leukemia Cup Regatta supported by the Annapolis and Eastport Yacht Clubs.
This race will include an exciting competitive challenge for powerboats and powered sailboats and the opportunity for participants to share in the awards ceremony and collect their own "Silver Hardware"!
This is all about having fun... competitors participate with varying degrees of preparation... some work the details diligently... some wing it! Currents, wind, and piloting skills all work to modulate the results.
The objective of the Predicted Log Race is to showcase your crew's piloting skill in predicting the time required for your vessel to complete a measured course. Since this is a charitable event, as well as a fun event, boat teams are encouraged to solicit sponsors to add to the fund raising totals for this year's Leukemia Cup Regatta. Click on “INCENTIVES” in the menu bar to see the great rewards available for the team. Entry fee is $150 per boat, (of which, $125 may be considered tax-deductible), directed to The Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Additionally, tickets to the post-event crew party are $30.
