GRBackPro has amazed me. Despite that I am an experienced software reviewer, despite the fact Ive seen dozens of backup solutions, GRBackPro has amazed me by its huge number of capabilities grouped in such an evident and logical way that virtually no user experience is necessary to cope with complex backup tasks.
In GRBackPro you have only one window with several tabs. Walking through the tabs in the natural order, youll create your backup tasks. On the first tab, Jobs, you create the backup Session (jobs grouped logically), and add jobs to it. Every job corresponds with a file or folder with subfolders and individual drives to be excluded or included. Every job can have an individual backup procedure (copying, zipping, network or media drives
) and destination path.
On the next tab, Backup, you can set session-specific backup features like inclusion/exclusion patterns, compression levels, methods (full, incremental or differential), and layouting logic for the destination folder. Further settings are available on the «Adv.Backup» tab. The Restore tab gives you very flexible restoring options for all data acked up with the program, and the Schedule tab allows running backups automatically. Thus, GRBackPro supports the «full circle of backup» not only the actual «backing up», but also backup planning and restoring data.
