In conjunction with their upcoming Keep It Local stop at Camp Woodward in July, The Shadow Conspiracy have put together this awesome black and yellow parts kit to give away to one lucky Facebook fan. Check out the full rundown of parts and all the info you need to enter here.
Ave BMX Slovenia Trip
by: Guts |
Check out this really well put together video from Ave BMX’s recent trip from Poland to Slovenia. They locked up the shop, packed their bags and hit the road with team riders Michał Mycek, Łukasz Pluta, Piotr Gajda, Radosław Dźwigała and Mariusz Drożdż. The crew gets in a ton of good riding at a few skateparks and bunch of dope looking street spots. Pretty epic song jack though…when I heard the first song I thought Jason Enns might be on the trip too.

Body Of Murdered Homeless Woman Found At 9th Street
by: Guts |
Over the weekend, the body of a 34 year old homeless woman named Valerie Godoy was found on a bench at Duncan Park or more familiarly, the 9th Street trails in Austin. She appears to have died from blunt force trauma and the police are treating the case as a homicide. I wonder what, of any, effect this will have in the trails. Check out a video from a local news station after the jump. Continue reading →
Press Rewind: Oakley/Josh Harrington Defgrip Original
by: Guts |
About a year ago, Defgrip released what is arguably their finest original video: a short film documenting Josh Harrington’s time at the 2011 Simpel Session in Estonia. While most people will remember Drew Bezanson pulling off back-to-back 1st place finishes and Ty Morrow’s 46 inch bunnyhop, I will always associate the 2011 Simpel Session with this video.

Press Rewind: Arik Elstran / Ryan Nyquist Osiris Edit
by: Guts |
This is easily one of the most entertaining split edits ever. While the vibe is light, the riding is anything but. Its a prefect melding of two completely opposite styles that seem to come together effortlessly. Still stoked on this a year after it came out.

Brian Kachinsky Super Session In Chicago
by: Guts |
Brian Kachinsky gets in a beastly session at a skatepark in Chicago with his trademark style of high speed grinding and a little bit of bloodshed. Timmy Theus guest clip goes pretty hard too. Definitely check this one out.

Morgann Lahaie Welome To Foundation BMX
by: Guts |
French rider and recent American transplant Morgann Lahaie is the newest member of the Foundation BMX team. And to make it official, here’s an edit of him getting some shredding done at a skatepark in France. Morgann is a really good rider and an even nicer guy, so I’m stoked for him.

Lewis Monks Memorial Session
by: Guts |
UK rider Lewis Monks recently passed away and as a memorial, his scene did what any tight-knit group BMX’ers would do: they went out and rode for their friend. As an interesting bonus Lewis himself provides the soundtrack. R.I.P. Lewis Monks.

Animal Instagram Contest
by: Guts |
Animal’s got a pretty cool, fairly straight forward contest going on Instagram right now, so read the above information, get to thinking and then tag your photo #animalinsta. I have a feeling Lil Wayne is gonna win this one though.
Verde Biz/Cadet Complete Ad
by: Guts |
Check out Verde‘s latest print ad featuring Biz and their 2012 Cadet complete. I really like the seamless transition from the photo to the graphic. And that’s a clean lookin bike too. You can pick one up at Dan’s Comp for $269.
Simone Barraco Welcome To The Subrosa Pro Team
by: Guts |
It goes without saying that Simone Barraco is a talented bike rider. More importantly, he’s an extremely humble and driven individual. When he’s trying something, I don’t think he realizes how fucking hard he goes…he just sees the obstacle in front of him, aligns it with his skill set and proceeds to shred it like only he knows he can. While most riders will take the first pulled clip just to be done with something hard, Simone was doing some of this stuff upwards of half a dozen times to get it dialed all the way in. I’ve never seen anything like it. On the other side of all that drive is a kid who’s having the time of his life, living the dream and couldn’t be more appreciative of it all.
This edit was filmed over the course of a few weeks on trips to Atlanta and Denver while he was in the states for the month of May. Much like his Welcome to Shadow edit, he came over here for a single month, rode non-stop at this level for weeks on end and beasted out yet another web classic. Watch, enjoy and then watch ten more times.
Brian Hunt Recalls His Injury At Asian XGames
by: Guts |
Alli Sports’ Inside BMX caught up with DK pro Brian Hunt to talk about a pretty intense injury he suffered at Asian XGames last month. The story, the diagnosis and the stapled shut incision are all pretty crazy. Someone buy that man an ice cream sandwich!

Aaron Ross In A Hot Wheels Commercial
by: Guts |
A month or so ago, @TheAaronRoss‘ twitter was abuzz about taking a day off from the recent Sunday trip in Atlanta to head down to Miami to do something for Hot Wheels. And today we get to see some of what he was up to down there. While this isn’t a commercial in the conventional sense, it’s still pretty cool to see the dude doing stuff for such a big company. No sign of Danica Patrick in this short webisode, so maybe they’re saving the love scene for later.

Nigel Sylvester’s “Get Sylvester” Episode 5.
by: Guts |
Over the last couple weeks of following Harrison Boyce on instagram it was interesting to see a few photos of him and Nigel rubbing shoulders with Bun B, among many other people, on the Gumball 3000 rally. Knowing surely this would somehow tie into the next Get Sylvester episode, I was really interested in how the experience would be presented. This is one of those things that could easily come off as braggadocios or bourgeois to the average person, much less a mass of jaded anonymous commenters.
For those that might not know, The Gumball 3000 is basically a cross-country road rally that brings out eccentrically wealthy motorsports enthusiasts, celebrities and as of the past few years, action sports personalities. This year the trip went from New York to LA, making stops at Niagara Falls, the Indianapolis 500, Detroit, St Louis, Route 66, the Grand Canyon and Death Valley.
Let me start off by saying this really caught me off guard. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t one of my favorite rappers reciting a poem in a lively, effervescent tone. To hear Bun speak in such a way is a sure sign that there was nothing for
