Generic Names Supporting Organization Home

spacer Welcome to the GNSO. One of ICANN's key supporting organization, the GNSO embodies the multi stakeholder governance model that sets ICANN apart from other governance bodies. Just like ICANN, the GNSO is an open body where anyone is free to participate, voice an opinion or contribute to discussions. Because the GNSO is the policy-making body for generic Top Level Domains such as Dot COM or Dot INFO, what happens here has an impact on virtually anyone who uses the Internet! Quite a responsibility, I'm sure you'll agree. But also what makes taking part in the GNSO's processes and policy work so rewarding. This is a diverse community full of talented individuals who have one thing in common: they care deeply about the Internet. It is my honor to chair the GNSO's Council, and I hope you will find within these web pages all the facts and information you need to convince you that getting involved is both easy, free, and very worthwhile.
