Loyal TXB readership, I wanted to take a moment on this slow news day to give you an opportunity to learn a bit more about the new staff members who have joined me on the site, who joined just in time to be assaulted by everything that E3 could throw at them. Thankfully they came out unscathed for the most part, save for a few lost phalanges, and they're all sticking around for the long haul. When they came aboard, I asked each of them to write up a short blurb of sorts, just kind of introducing themselves to you all. I told them to be as verbose or as succinct as they desired - I just wanted their personality to come through. So let's kick things off then, shall we?

Shane Rowbotham - News Managing Editor

First things first. When I read Shane's last name when I initially saw it, I instantly pronounced it "Robot Ham" in my mind and so now that's how it is forever linked in my brain. Apologies, Shane. In any event, Shane might be better known by members of our forum as M-M-M-M-MEGA, the news-posting machine. It was for this reason that he and I first struck up a conversation about him joining the staff as the News Managing Editor. He has a nose for news, and ferrets things out almost as soon as they are announced. Here's a bit from him in his own words:

Hello there! Shane Rowbotham at your service. Unlike the American guys from the rest of the team, i am from a small dot on the map known as England (United Kingdom).. you might have heard of it! So being a little different, i may bring a bit of a British twist to the table. We'll see how well that goes.

I have a vast amount of knowledge and experience when it comes to videogames, and I am proud to have been chosen to be apart of the TXB Team, as the News Managing Editor. Most of you probably already know me from around the forum, as I've been a member of the community for almost 6 years. It has been my home away from home, so to speak, and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

I've been an avid gamer for as long as I can remember, and some say I was born actually holding a Game Pad in my hands, (Although I'm not sure how accurate that statement is, take it how you will) being the videogame addict which I've always been, i am always on the lookout for all of the updates on upcoming titles, it's just something I've always enjoyed doing.

Simply put, when I'm not eating and sleeping, i am constantly scouring a wide range of sources for that next piece of news, and I will make it my personal mission to bring you the latest and greatest reports, from the exciting world of gaming, by any means necessary (Legally, of course!).

All in all, i'm looking forward to continue following my passion, by doing something more with my regular activity, and using it to bring the best Gaming news and headlines to the site.

Joshua R - Editor

Joshua has written on a few video game blogs before, and has some very specific insights and opinions on video games. He's a comic book fiend, and I'm looking forward personally to his review of The Amazing Spider-Man which comes out soon! Here's a bit from Joshua:

The very first system I ever owned was a Nintendo. I was around 5-6 years old. Ever since the first time I played Duck Hunt I have been hooked on video games. I have owned almost every system since the NES came out (yes even a PS3...glorified Blu-Ray player...). As for some of my favorite games I'll have to say that out of principle I like anything that is based around Marvel Comics.

Jeff Wade - Editor

Jeff is a college student at JMU, and he is majoring in the field of Journalism, no less! He wields a sharp wit and crafts his words like bullets fed into an M-4 magazine, ready to burst forth in rapid succession. Check out his recent review of Lollipop Chainsaw for some examples! Here's more about Jeff in his own words:

Blessed and cursed with the ability to write about games, I've been using this power as responsibly as possible for the last five years. When not in Street Fighter and Guilty Gear training modes, I study journalism at James Madison University. I'm still holding out hope for Bayonetta 2. You can follow me on Twitter at the incredibly modest @TheJeffWade.

Buffard Webber - Editor

I'm thankful for Buffard because he's a die-hard FIFA fan, so I finally have someone on the site who is willing and able to review futbol games. That's a huge load off my mind! Also, he is a mean Trials Evolution player (though I give him a run for his money often), and has been known to appreciate the nuances of GlaDOS' humor while playing Portal 2. He prefers P-body, by the way. More from the man himself:

I was your typical poor kid who had an Atari and NES while all my friends were playing N64. Not out of choice but because I had no money and found my systems at garage sales! I love games that have that classic feel but take advantage of all the wonders of todays tech. WHY IS CONTROLLING A STUPID PIECE OF MEAT SO HARD!!!

We may never know, Buffard. We simply may never know.

So there you have it! These guys are eager to get you all some fantastic Xbox-related content, and with so many awesome games on the horizon, they've chosen a great time to come aboard. Feel free to interact with them in the comments section of their articles, or by email which is accessible via their bylines on their articles.

Thanks for reading, and once again, welcome to you all!
