Highlights

Toronto is the Canadian destination for the ICANN 45th meeting. It will be the last public meeting of the year until Beijing April 2014. Toronto is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world; a place where international ideas intersect with Canadian culture. It's a perfect fit for the GNSO because ideas from the international community drive the multi-stakeholder governance model. See the Toronto Meeting's page for more information.

The ICANN 44th Meeting was held in Prague, Czech Republic and hosted by CZ NIC. The GNSO Council met on the weekend prior to the formal start of the meeting and the public session and wrap-up session were held during the week. A Full House for the GNSO Council in Prague

At the ICANN 44 Meeting in Prague, the GNSO Council convened for the week to deliberate many issues specific to the Generic Names space and the new gTLD program. As shown in the photo above, all GNSO Council members were in attendance for the Wednesday public meeting. Issues discussed at the meeting included WHOIS Access and Technical Requirements Survey, Internationalized Registration Data, RAA Negotiations, and impact of the new gTLD program on the existing GNSO Structure. The transcript of the meeting can be found here. In addition to its public meeting, the Council conducted two days of preparatory work meetings over the weekend and a wrap-up session at the end of the week.
