Carada fixed frame projection screens are widely considered the best value in the home theater market today.

Made in the United States from the finest materials and engineered to the highest standards of quality, these screens project an image of luxury and are a fine addition to any home theater or business.

Criterion™ Series Projection Screens

The Carada Criterion Series projection screens bring an even higher-end look to your home theater. The 3-1/4 inch wide by 1-1/2 inch deep frame has a bevel on the front, inside edge that brings the edge of the frame right down to the surface of the screen.

Criterion Series projector screens are covered with our Black Hole™ velvet trim to absorb any overspill light from your projector.

spacer The projection screen surface material snaps to the rear of the screen frame to give you a perfectly flat viewing surface, and the frame itself is extremely strong and mounts flush against your wall. Wall mounting brackets are included with all screens.

Aspect Ratio

    1.33 to 1 Projection Screens

Sometimes called NTSC, Academy, or 4:3, this aspect ratio is the shape of televisions made before High Definition came on the scene. Also many older movies were made in this aspect ratio including classics like Citizen Kane, Wizard of Oz and many others.

    1.78 to 1 Projection Screens

This is the aspect ratio of High Definition Television, and is sometimes referred to as 16:9. It is the most popular aspect ratio for home theaters because it is a good compromise between the 1.33 to 1 format, and widescreen movies like Indiana Jones or Lawrence of Arabia.

    1.85 to 1 Projection Screens

A huge number of movies have been made in this common film ratio, which is just slightly wider than High Definition TV.

    2.05 to 1 Projection Screens

Not one of the more common film formats, but projection screens built to this aspect ratio can be a good choice for enthusiasts who want to roughly split the difference between High Definition TV and the widest film formats.

"The goal of any screen is to accurately portray the picture you are projecting - and the Criterion does that with flying colors."

"Setup could only be simpler if Carada had a person come to your home and do it for you."

"Considering these tests came out nearly identical on a different, more expensive projector screen, I think the Carada represents a tremendous value for those looking to upgrade from their wall or a cheaper pull-down solution."
