Intro to Programming through Game Development
...or, how I learned to stop worrying and LÖVE Lua

When are classes starting?
Later in July, CCCKC-U posts the classes that will be offered for the fall.
Classes will begin some time in August.

About the game programming class
The toolset we're going to be using is the Lua scripting language, and the LÖVE framework. I'm also going to pick out a map editor to use, to give students a more visual way to build their game's environments.

Who is this class for?
This class is geared towards kids and teens in the Kansas City area. If you're over 18 and want to learn more about game programming- great! Let me know, so I can set up a separate class. I know plenty of people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s who are into game programming.

If you, your kids, your friend's kids, your milkman's kids, or your dog's kids are interested in an introduction to game programming, please have them fill out this form:

How much will this class cost?
I am not planning on charging for the class. However, CCCKC may want to collect a fee, as we would like to build a small computer lab for the CCCKC-U classes! Once I figure out if there will be a price, I'll let you know. I'd prefer to keep it as accessible as possible to everybody!
I will also make free content available via the internet.
