This plugin calculates a heatmap from a picture.

$ gimptool-2.0 --install elsamuko-heatmap.c
You'll find it then under Colors->Heatmap.
A python plugin for GIMP that will create a startrail image from a number of light and dark frames.
This should work fine with versions 2.6 and 2.8 of Gimp.
Available from: code.google.com/p/gimp-startrail-compositor/ or github.com/themaninthesuitcase/gimp-startrail-compositor
Works like the blender brush size controls, making it easy to change your brush size with a mouse or graphics tablet by letting you drag the mouse left to right to interactively change the brush size.
Now you don't have to tap hotkeys repeatedly or interrupt your painting flow by moving the mouse to the slider
UPDATED TO WORK WITH GRAPHICS TABLETS PROPERLY! there is a new file "dynamic_brush_resize(for graphics tablet).zip" to try
Requirements
---------------------------
Gimp 2.8
Windows (tested on windows 7 64bit)
This script adds 3 tools under Script-Fu - BgMask: "Extract background...", "Mask against background..." and "Average linked layers...".
Extract background is used to extract background from video frames. The background must be completely still. This is probably only useful with flash animations and the like.
Mask against background can be used to chroma key a bunch of frames against their background. Don't expect great results from it!
Average linked layers averages pixel values for the selected (linked) layers. It's not really useful for anything.
Read the full description for detailed breakdown.
This script-fu creates water ripples.
This plug-in implements load and save of MagicLantern compatible YUV422 raw files.
MagicLantern is a free software add-on for Canon EOS cameras. This software
can take "silent pictures" as snapshot of the Camera Display
and saves them as uncompressed raw YUV422 files with extension .422.
The silent picture feature is useful to record timelapse sequences without moving the mirror
of the camera.
If you want to process such sequences of .422 images with GIMP (or GIMP-GAP) you should install
this file-raw-yuv422 plug-in.
Generates a sequence of images that is a Gaussian pyramid.
Probably not useful except to learn what a Gaussian pyramid is: a sequence of down-sampled images.
The top of the pyramid can be a one pixel image with the average color of the original.
Appears as Filters>Render>Gaussian pyramid...
Uses Python and PyGIMP.
This simple script add a new layer on top of the image filled with neutral grey and in overlay mode. You can use this layer with the dodge and burn tool to work on shadows and highlights without destroying datas.
