Thought I'd get the ball rolling on a lil intro of ourselves so we can keep each other company in these anxious weeks of the first trimester and also *HOPEFULLY* through the second and third!!
I'm 28. DH is 30. Married 1.5 years.
Pregnant with our 1st, EDD Nov 8 2012.
Cycle 3, used OPKs, monitor, and BD everyday!
I'm about 6.5 weeks along and am scheduled for my first dr appt on 3/27!
I'm in this state of surreal weirdness. I don't feel different (besides the swollen/sore bbs)... and I don't look different.
I'm cautious to be overly excited, but am thrilled nonetheless.
How about you?

I'm also 28 :) DH is 32. Married about 14 months. Pregnant with our first, EDD is November 25.
We tried for awhile....this may have been cycle 8? I have a short luteal phase so we are THRILLED it happened naturally. I've had blood work done twice already (according to the nurse, my HCG levels are "respectable...") and I've got a doctors appointment on the 27th for my first ultrasound.

Hello!
I'm 24. DH is 26. Married 6 months.
Pregnant with our 1st, EDD Nov 23, 2012ish (haven't seen a doctor yet.
Got pregnant on cycle 5. Very first pregnancy. Was too sick to BD leading up to ovulation, but did it on ovulation day and 2 days after that, and that seemed to do the trick!
First appointment on 4/12, when I'll be one day shy of 8 weeks. Obviously that may change once we've done an u/s!

Hello!
I'm 25. Hubby is 29. We've been married 2 years.
Pregnant with our 1st, EDD November 15 2012, although it could be udpated at our dating ultrasound.
Cycle 1, no charting, BD EOD when I thought I might be O.
I'm almost 7 weeks and my first DRs appointment is 24 April at almost 11 weeks.

I had my first ultrasound yesterday and it didn't go so well...apparently the nurse thought I was 6-7 weeks, not 5 weeks, so we pretty much got YELLED AT for coming in so early for an u/s. Had a bit of a scare because the doctor even thought I was 6-7 weeks.
We did see a small little sac, and apparently it was right where it was supposed to be. They also ran blood tests and the results show that my HCG levels are doubling properly and my progesterone levels are good. Even though we haven't seen the heartbeat, they told us the good levels and the fact that there is a sac indicate a high likelihood for a "viable" pregnancy---yay!
We've had a few other communication problems with this doctors office..they have said I said certain things about my medical history (that I had a blocked tube in the past?) that I never said, the phlebotimist is terrible and left both of my arms black and blue last week and blamed it on me, and they've been downright rude to us since. They put us in a horrible mood yesterday, and now that I know my levels are good, I decided to switch doctors. I explained what happened to the new office (I actually used to go there, they are just really far from my house) and they were happy to have me back.
My next ultrasound is in 2 weeks and we should be able to see the heartbeat :) Now that I know there is a sac, my hormones are good, and I've had no spotting or severe cramps, I'm feeling a little more confident about this pregnancy.
Now I need to entertain myself for 2 weeks...

@petuniasandpearls: aw I'm sorry that they gave you a hard time... but congrats on the u/s and can't wait for your next update!! I will have my next appt at a lil past 10 weeks on 4/24... for our first round of genetic testing/checkup...
I just want to get to the double digits!!!

Almost at 8 weeks and not-so-patiently waiting for our first u/s on the 24th.
I started getting some more pregnancy symptoms this week. I've been feeling exhausted and queasy/not wanting to eat anything. How's everybody else feeling?

I just saw this thread. I was posting in the other November thread. Haha. I guess we are so awesome that we get two threads.
I just turned 29 and my husband is 32. We've been married for a little over a year, but we've been together for 11 years.
We don't have any kids, but this is my second pregnancy. The first ended in a miscarriage in December 2011. My EDD is 11/7 and we saw the heartbeat on 3/30. Our next appointment is for the NT scan and associated testing on 04/24/12.
Have you told anyone about your pregnancy yet? I told one friend and that is it. Neither set of grandparents-to-be know yet, although everyone except my father-in-law know about the loss. I'm really scared to tell people, especially at work.

@ChelseaRose: @ksnow: our next appt and nt scan is scheduled for 4/24 as well! looks like we'll all be at the dr together! :P
@ChelseaRose: we told our family and our closest friends. i waited a couple of weeks after the BFP because i couldn't decide if i wanted to tell anyone, but then figured that id want my support system there in case m/c occurred. at this point i'm not planning on telling work until may or june, well into my second trimester. i totally understsand your hesitation, this is my first pregnancy and i had trouble deciding if i wanted to tell "in case," let alone after having suffered a loss previously.
good luck with your 3 hour g-test friday!!

How are you all doing?
I passed my three hour glucose test! Now I'm justing waiting for my nt scan in less than two weeks. I just ordered a Doppler over the weekend, but I haven't received it yet. I'm ten weeks today so I will probably try it out as soon as it arrives. Has anyone else used one at home?
olive / 77 posts
@chelsearose - doing okay; just counting down the days till ultrasound and the first trimester are over! Still have 11 days until our first ultrasound; no tests yet except some blood tests they said they'd give me the results of at the appt- so nothing to report! My friend offered me to borrow her Doppler; but since I've never heard the heartbeat yet, I was too scared to try cause I know it can be hard to hear early on those and I didn't want to freak myself out!

Doing okay, I've been able to eat this week which is much better than last week's yakkkking. :P
Waiting for our NT scan at the end of the month.... and just looking to pass this month and finally hit the second trimester.
I think I'm going to hold off on buying a doppler, because I may become slightly obsessed with it.

Hi Ladies. I haven't posted on this thread yet but I'm due Nov 28th so I'm 7w2d today. Feeling OK. The morning sickness is starting to ramp up lately. Every morning when I wake up I'm really bloated and gassy and sometimes a little pukey too. The worst thing for me has been terrible pain in my back and hips. I sit at a desk all day so I have to really remind myself to get up and walk around as much as possible since that's the only things that really helps! I have my first ultrasound next week on Wednesday and I just can not wait to see a heartbeat so I can breath a little sigh of relief. We had an early miscarriage in January so I've been very nervous this whole pregnancy.

We saw the heartbeat today :) Baby is measuring at just over 7 weeks, which is exactly what we hoped for. Apparently I'll have another ultrasound right around the 12 week mark next month. Due date is 11/26 now.

@petuniasandpearls: aw yay!! Isn't it so surreal and amazing?! I'll be going in around 10/11 wks for my nt scan/us
cherry / 170 posts
@mrsjyw: It was surreal! The ultrasound took about 20 minutes (the doctor pointed out and explained what everything was) and I kept staring at the little flicker in the middle of the screen. Luckily my husband was paying a little more attention to what the doctor was saying.
I can't wait until our next one next month....they contact with a high risk doctor to do the more detailed ultrasound, so we're looking forward to seeing something that looks more like a baby :)
hostess / cantaloupe / 6246 posts
@petuniasandpearls: yea I'll be having one next week at a lil past 10 weeks and I've been googling what 10 week u/s look like, SO different from the last one at 6 weeks!! can't wait!
grapefruit / 4306 posts
@petuniasandpearls: Congrats!! We go in our Wednesday for our first Ultrasound. I'll be 8w1d... I can't wait to see that little flicker.

@ChelseaRose: hi Chelsea, I'm in the same situation as you. Had a mc at 12 weeks in nov. I'm 10 weeks right now with EDD of 11/12 but I'm so scared! I told two friends who guessed since I wasn't drinking. Otherwise, I'm keeping it quiet . Cautiously optimistic I guess!

@mamamouse and @kml636: it sounds like we are all in similar positions being pregnant after recent miscarriages. I'm so happy to be pregnant, but terrified at the same time.
Right now I'm just counting down the days to my NT scan. One more week to go!

Isnt it great to have a community like this where people know what you're going through?? I know its been extremely helpful and comforting to me!
apricot / 387 posts
Yes, it has been. I don't know many people IRL who have had a loss. I shared my story with a handfull of my closer friends right after it happened. Unfortunately, one of my friends went through something similar about a month after I told her about it and was comforted by it. I can't wait to tell her that we're expecting again because I think it will encourage her and help her have hope.
I especially love having an online place to vent about this because almost no one knows that we're pregnant again. If everything goes ok at the NT scan, then we will tell a few more people. Other than that I think I will wait until I have to tell people because it is obvious.

I had my first ultrasound/first time hearing the heart beat today! It was great. They said everything looked good, based on LMP I was at 10 weeks 5 days and baby measured at 10 weeks 4 days, so they kept my due date on 15 November! It was so neat to see the baby moving around in there, can't wait until I can feel some of it!

@ksnow: that's awesome!
My NT scan is tomorrow!

@ksnow: amazing!! we may just be in labor at the same time!! Lol
Just got back from our second appt, no u/s but heard our bean's heartbeat for the first time. Dr said bean had a really strong heartbeat!! :D got my blood drawn for the first round of genetic testing.., we go back in four weeks, just about at the 14.5 week mark ;)
