Basic Macros
Basic macros are the most common built-in macros.
- body - Generate an HTML body tag in a template.
- bodytext - This macro is replaced by the contents of the page.
- cascadingStyleSheet - This macro includes the cascading style sheet in a template.
- commentLink - Generates a comment link to to that particular News Item.
- day - Display the number of the current day.
- dayName - Display the name of the current day.
- departmentLink - Generates a link to a page which displays news items from a given department.
- downloadDiscussTheme - Generate a link to the downloadable discussion group theme for a site.
- downloadTheme - Generate a link to the downloadable theme file for a site.
- editorialMenu - Include the Editors only link in the template of a site.

- glossSub - Link to a page in the shortcuts list, using text other than the title of the shortcut.
- hierarchyPath - Display the hierarchy path to a page.
- homePageLink - Generate a link to the home page of a site.
- includeHttp - Include the text returned by an HTTP request in a Manila-generated Web page.
- includeMessage - Include a message in a template or web page.
- javaScript - This macro includes the JavaScript in a template.
- lastUpdate - Display the date and time a page was last updated.
- lastUpdateString - Display the date and time a page was last updated, using a friendly format.
- link - Generates a link to to that particular News Item, but if the URL is empty it will just display the title.
- linkToStyleSheet - Generates a link to the external CSS file.
- mailStory - Adds a link to a page that connects to the Mail-This-Story feature.
- membershipBox - This macro includes the membership box in a template.
- meta - Include meta tags in a template.
- module - Include a module in a template or web page.
- month - Display the number of the current month.
- monthName - Display the name of the current month.
- navigatorLinks - Include the navigation links in a template.
- now - Display the current time and date on the server.
- opmlBlogroll - Renders an OPML document as a set of blogroll links

- relativeUrl - Return the URL to a page on a site, given its relative path.
- rssLink - Generate a link to your site's RSS channel.
- scriptingNews2Link - Generate a link to your site's scriptingNews2 channel.
- searchThisSite - Generate a search box.
- siteName - Include the site name in a template or page.
- tagLine - Include the tag line in a template or page.
- themeLink - Generate a link back to the site whose theme you're using.

- whoAmI - Display the name of the member looking at the page.
- xmlCoffeeMug - Adds an "XML Coffee Mug" icon which is a link to subscribe to this site's RSS feed in Radio UserLand.
- year - Display the number of the current year.
