Rising from the ashes, Phuket has managed to slowly recover from the tragic tsunami that a couple of years swept beaches and buried thousands. Rebuilding hotels, public areas and beach cleaning has allowed tourism to boost the economy back to this place.
After a tour around Thailand, many are escaping to a beach area, including Phuket .
The Dusit Laguna, without being very luxurious, is a good choice. It is very popular with Spanish tour operators that offers good service at a good price (you can get a room for 110 usd lowest season ).
It has numerous restaurants, the prestigious spa Angsama, a private beach, uncrowded and free sun loungers, day care and all the services of its category.
The rooms are bright comfortable and spacious.
RECOMMENDATIONS
The hotel is part of a large resort that allows its customers to use the facilities of the various hotels (including the Bayan Tree or the Sheraton). There is a free bus that will bring you to the facilities of each campus.
Among the many beaches of Phuket, the highlight of Patong and Karon with more nightlife and entertainment, of Nai Thon is more pristine and wild, and finally more secluded and south lies the quiet and beautiful Nai Han.
INTERESTING THINGS
Very close to Phuket, is the island of Phi Phi where the beach was filmed. There is a ferry that links the two islands. The journey takes two hours and 45minutes and costs about 20euros.

Pals is a small town located in one of the most beautiful regions of Girona, on the Costa Brava , the Baix Empordà . This small townof only 2400 inhabitants has a beautiful old town with narrow streets, stone walls and houses that makes you lose track of time. Favored by the Mediterranean climate and surrounded by rice fields make the spring one of the most beautiful times to visit. However, it is in summer, when the beach is enjoyed by more people.
The Pals beach is surrounded by dunes and not in the same town. You need some sort of transportation to get there. It is quiet and not too crowded. It is more of a residential area, no hotels or terraced promenades that fill with tourists.
If you want to do sport you can choose among golf, water sports and hiking on the magical forests that surround this village.

In the navel of Italy, at the foot of Vesuvius, Naples is one of the most dynamic cities and personality across the country. The bustle of people, markets, food stalls outside, the clothes hanging, narrow streets, churches that are hidden in corners, crying people, bikes, more bikes … Very authentic.
In the historic center highlights are the Forcella neighborhood, the Duomo, the square of the Gesu and Spaccanapoli neighborhood full of shops and small churches, and then continue to Castel Nuovo and the Teatro San Carlo.
It is impossible to summarize all the charming places this Mediterranean city has to offer, but in my opinion, the best is the bay where it is located. Even in ancient times the rich took refuge in summer time along this coast. Capri, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento and Positano are some of the places you can get from Naples to the Amalfi Coast walking and enjoying the deep blue sea. Just beautiful.
RECOMMENDATION
Be sure to visit the National Archaeological Museum with its splendid collection of treasures of Pompeii and Herculaneum and Greco-Roman art pieces.
Naples is where each year thousands of followers focus their eyes on how the San Genaro blood liquefies every September 19, the day when we celebrate the saint’s feast. A glass container with a dark solid mass is placed before ” the head of San Genaro “that rests in an urn, and in a time of one hour, is miraculously transformed into reddish liquid in view of visitors.
The shadow of the ” Camorra “, the Neapolitan mafia called, endures through the years. Until the early twentieth century, when they were brought to trial, took control of the city and is mainly engaged in smuggling, racketeering, theft, bribery and murder.

Tallinn is the capital of Estonia, the smallest country in the Baltic . Until recently the incredible beauty of its historic center has been recognized as World Heritage and tourism was considered by a curious few.
The first impression of Vanalinn so called the old center, is the uniformity of its red roofs, the crowd pointed cone shaped bell, the brushstrokes of Russian architecture, the cleanliness of the streets and the sobriety of the facades. Start by crossing the old wall Viru gate, you will see the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square), Sajakang street full of souvenir shops and bakeries, the Church of the Holy Spirit, or the houses of the rich merchants of Pikk Street. Don’t stop browsing and find surprises.
From the Toompea hill you can see the best view of Tallinn. There you can visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral , the Lutheran church in Tallinn or lounging in coffee Long Leg (a stop for all tourists).

If you’re after a trekking tour that sees you walk among some of the world’s most impressive mountains, you can’t beat the route through the Annapurna Sanctuary in Nepal’s Himalayas. Here’s a brief guide to the area to give you an idea of what to expect.
What is the Annapurna Sanctuary?
The Annapurna Sanctuary is essentially a huge, natural amphitheatre that has been created by a ring of mountains, many of which stand at more than 7,000 m. Access to the sanctuary is only possible through one gorge, while the high points of a trek here will be a visit to the Machhapuchare and Annapurna Base Camps, from where summit attempts on these famous peaks begin.
How to get there
The best place to start a tour of the Annapurna Sanctuary, like those offered by Explore Worldwide, is Pokhara – a charming lakeside town where life moves slowly and you’re surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. From here, it’s relatively easy to reach the gorge that leads into the sanctuary, either by walking or car. On this particular trek in the Himalayas, which starts from £818 without flights, you’ll drive to the village of Kande and set off on your hike from here.
The route: a brief overview
To enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, you’ll need to walk through the Modi Khola Valley, which is lined by spectacular rhododendron and bamboo forests and dotted by several small villages you can stop at along the way. Chommrong is the final settlement you’ll visit before you head into the sanctuary itself.
From Chommrong, it’s another two days of trekking until you enter the sanctuary properly, with the Hinku Cave at 3,100 m considered to be the unofficial entry point. From here, your route will lead you to Machhapuchare Base Camp and then the Annapurna Base Camp, following in the footsteps of legendary mountaineer Chris Bonington.
You’ll have one more day of walking in the sanctuary after your trip to the Annapurna Base Camp before you head back through the valley and away from the imposing peaks. You’ll exit by walking along the opposite side of the valley to the one you entered on, so you can stop in different villages as you walk.
Highlights of the trek
Machhapuchare Base Camp - This will be one of the most memorable places you visit on your walk, with the distinctive fishtail mountain towering above you as you gradually get closer to the base camp, which sits at 3,720 m. You’ll even get to spend the night here, with spectacular views of Annapurna South.
Annapurna Base Camp - As well as being literally the highest point on your trek (4,130 m), a stop at the place where Chris Bonington prepared for his ascent of the south face of Annapurna I is bound to inspire any budding mountaineers. This is also one of the best locations from which to take in the panorama of peaks that surrounds you on every side and imagine how wonderful the views must be from Annapurna I’s summit at 8,091 m.
Modi Khola Valley - The walk through the valley to get into the Annapurna Sanctuary is beautiful, and affords you with the opportunity to spot creatures like vultures and griffons soaring in the skies above. As you make your way along the gorge towards the mountains, you’ll pass several waterfalls, some of which are truly breathtaking, as well as visit traditional Nepali villages. One of the most fascinating is Ghandruk village, as this is where many of the country’s famous Ghurkha soldiers are recruited from.
If you’ve trekked in the Annapurna Sanctuary, what were the highlights of your trip?
