The American Music Awards went down in LA on Sunday night! Usher opened a show that went on to feature many performances from some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Gwen Stefani and the guys of No Doubt put on a show, as did Kelly Clarkson and Ke$ha. Taylor Swift performed her soon-to-be-released single "I Knew You Were Trouble." She changed out of the gold Zuhair Murad number she wore on the red carpet and into two elaborate costumes. Justin Bieber hit the stage too for a rendition of his songs "As Long as You Love Me" and "Beauty and a Beat." Pink put on an acrobatic, energetic performance, and Christina Aguilera wore a tiny costume to sing a song of her own.

As for the awards, Taylor and Justin were big winners. After arriving with his mom, Pattie Mallette, as his date, Justin picked up an early honor for best pop or rock male artist. He was also recognized with favorite pop/rock album and, right at the end of the show, artist of the year. Taylor, meanwhile, was crowned favorite female country artist. Further honors went to best new artist Carly Rae Jepsen and favorite country band Lady Antebellum. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper attended a special SAG screening of their film, Silver Linings Playbook, in LA last night with costar Chris Tucker. Bradley and Jennifer brought the picture to the West Coast together after attending separate premieres in NYC last week. In the intervening days, Jennifer has been required on the set of a very different movie, the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. Jennifer and Bradley are reaching the final stages of promotion for the film. Jennifer's performance has some speculating that she'll be nominated for an Oscar this year after being up for one in 2011 thanks to Winter's Bone. She spoke about that possibility, and of confronting the entire 2013 award season, with The Daily Beast. She said, "It's one of those things, when you read the first review and it's glowing, and everybody keeps hinting it's going to happen. I think it will be a lot better this year, now that I can drink. I honestly think that was the worst part. You can't sit through the Golden Globes without drinking. I was the only sober one there listening to every word. It was so cold that at one point, I wrapped myself up in the train of my dress and then I saw myself pop up on the screen. I started smiling but my teeth were chattering. It probably looked like I was secretly crying, as if I thought I had a chance."

Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel attended the NYC premiere of their movie, Hitchcock, last night at the Ziegfeld Theatre. They went for very different looks on the red carpet: Scarlett was edgy in a Rodarte mini, while Jessica went for something a bit more mature in an Oscar de la Renta combo, which she paired with Lorraine Schwartz earrings. Jessica and Scarlett posed for photos alongside their costars Toni Collette, Helen Mirren, and Danny Huston after doing a long day of press at the junket together. Jessica joked on Twitter about how the ladies all looked at different photographers during the group shots. She wrote, "Our Hitchcock cast! Clearly no one knew where to look and when . . .
