Tom Petty has received Grammy Awards for Best Rock Vocal Performance By a Duo or Group, Best Male Rock Vocal Performance and Best Video for "Runnin' Down a Dream" in 2009. He has received multiple MTV Video Music Awards for his artistic, avant-garde and visually striking music videos. He also received the Radio Music Legend Award in 2003.
