Today we're unveiling a new Ohioans For Concealed Carry website. To many of you it won't look like much of a change visually because we've stuck with our blue and gold theme, but trust me when I say that quite a bit is changing in the background. Soon our visitors will be able to login to this website to easily renew their membership, sign up for our events, and more. As you'll see in the new FAQ area of our website we're moving towards a very aggressive community contributed knowledge base in the form of a wiki.

The sign you see here is posted in Cleveland Heights Parks implying possession of a firearm is a crime. On Friday August 12th, 2011 Ohioans For Concealed Carry Filed a lawsuit against the City the City of Cleveland Heights. The litigation comes after many attempts to resolve concerns over laws that Cleveland Heights not only allowed to remain on their books, but also posted signs at their parks that continue to imply it is illegal to be armed.

When officer Harless of the Canton, Ohio police department came upon a vehicle stopped in the roadway most of us were focused on getting restaurant carry legislation signed into law. What took place that evening has become an international viral video, calls for the resignation of the City Council president, and criminal charges against a man who is clearly heard trying to state that he has a license. Today the Cleveland police department held another so called "gun buy back" (as if they ever owned the guns so were in a position to buy them back) and top brass were upset that private citizens were out front offering higher prices for the firearms being brought in.

As Cleveland cops exchanged gift cards and sports tickets for guns Saturday, they watched as a cadre of young men stood nearby and offered cash for weapons.

And it was all legal.

They not only had the audacity to feed off a police safety initiative, one of the few in the country, but showed up with copies of the Ohio Revised Code that condoned their conduct, police said.

The audacity! Private citizens engaging in legal commerce and disrupting attempts to disarm and defraud at the same time.

Columbus police reported yesterday, one man was killed during an attempted home invasion in the 3000 block of Easthaven Drive. The incident occurred in broad daylight during early the afternoon hours. The occupant shot and killed a 20 year old male, whose name has not been released.
