"To me programming is more than an important practical art. It is also a gigantic undertaking in the foundations of knowledge."
- Grace Hopper

Welcome to Women in Computing at RIT

Our Mission

The mission of Women In Computing at RIT is to support creative academic, professional and community-based micro-cultures for women in computing and to broaden participation in the computing discipline.

Who We Are

spacer Women In Computing at RIT is a group of students, faculty and staff who are committed to the success and advancement of women in computing. This spans all computing disciplines from traditional computer science, to the emerging disciplines of computer gaming and information assurance and security. Our purpose is to support existing and new creative micro-cultures and bring those communities together when opportunities arise. We also strive to increase awareness of our disciplines by promoting the field computing to area school-age girls and boys through our Women in Computing Roadshow.
