About

This is the personal blog of Douglas Johnston, a marketing consultant, project manager, multimedia developer, writer, and productivity junkie. My fifteen minutes to fame will likely always be as the creator and maintainer of the D*I*Y Planner and its community-driven website DIYPlanner.com.

I’d say I was a digital strategist, but I think everybody makes that claim nowadays. The main difference is that a mid-sized marketing/communications company is paying me to be one. They’re also paying me to lead the their digital business unit in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. where I live with my stunningly beautiful and artistic wife Jennifer Pohl, my proto-paleontologist 7-year-old son, my wild and wonderful 5-year-old autistic son, and a hound whom my wife refused to name Baskerville, and is now simply called Locksley.
