Outage update

05:37PM CEST: We have had a partial database outage that we are recovering from at the moment. We should be back to normal with in 15-20 minutes. Thank you for your patience in the meantime. 

06:14PM CEST: We are bringing the systems back up slowly. Should just be a little while longer until we are fairly stable.

07:48PM CEST: We are now back up and running. Thanks so much for your understanding.

Site Issues

3:49PM CEST/9:49AM EST/6:49AM PST: we’re currently investigating issues with the site and working hard to bring it fully back. We’ll update as soon as we can! Thanks for hanging in there!

4:23PM CEST/10:23AM EST/7:23AM PST: things have smoothed out now and the site is stable again. In regards to what happened, an unexpected issue came up while rolling out a change, causing slow loading across the site. Once the exact cause was located, all systems were ultimately reverted and recovered again.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience this might’ve caused, but thanks for your patience!

Outage Update

From 4:40pm CEST (7:40am PST/10:40am EST) until 4:53pm CEST (7:53am PST/10:53am EST), we experienced a temporary server issue (resulting in “Yikes” pages), which was caused by an error on our side. More details on what happened exactly here.

We’re taking the necessary precautions to prevent this from happening again. Thanks again for everyone’s patience, and apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused.

API affected by Dashboard Maintenance

Hi all,

Due to some unexpected bumps, we had to perform maintenance on the database that handles dashboard activity, so currently no dashboard or activities data is available over the API. For example, your activity stream on the Next SoundCloud, mobile apps and activity data is not available at this time.

The main dashboard on classic SoundCloud is unavailable, but don’t worry—nothing is lost and tracks will appear again after maintenance.

Your own, incoming and exclusive tracks tabs are still accessible though!

We’re working to bring the Dashboard back up to speed as soon as possible — sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

We’ll update here and on our @SCSupport Twitter feed as soon as we can.

Current Downtime

We’re very sorry for the current downtime. Our team’s working hard to get the site back up as soon as possible. Many apologies for the inconvenience this causes.

We identified the cause for the outage and have all hands on deck to restore services.

We currently don’t have an estimation on when the services will be available, but will keep posting updates here as they come in.

We are making progress towards restoring services. We don’t currently have an timeframe estimation, but hope to be back up and running soon.
