Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Grant Program


In accordance with the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program engaged in an aggressive outreach campaign to seek input from a wide range of stakeholders regarding implementation of Section 241, which establishes a Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention Grant Program. The rule promulgating the provision was published in the Federal Register on January 1, 2012. The comment period closed April 2, 2012.
