  • Struggling AMD looks to sell its Austin campus

    “Step right up and place your bids on AMD’s Austin campus,” or so soon will say an auctioneer. The stock price for the struggling chip-maker is down 60 percent this year and rumors persist that its looking for an acquirer, while struggling under $2 billion in debt. Looking to dig out from under this hole, the company is apparently looking to sell its 58-acre facility for approximately $150 million and then aims to lease it back from the acquirer.     Microsoft is apparently turning to schoolyard name-calling if its latest anti-Google campaign is any indication. Redmond rolled out its “Scroogled” – aka. don’t get screwed by Google – holiday shopping campaign on Bing.   • Microsoft to release operating system with yearly updates

    The next version of Microsoft’s OS is codenamed Blue, and will be updated annually, much like Apple’s approach it its OS.
