WHAT DOES ACID DO?
ACID is a not for profit organisation providing help, advice and support on Intellectual Property (IP) to its members through IP awareness and education. Creating a safer trading environment for its members to trade is a priority. By encouraging design talent and nurturing and developing fairer trade in design, we help our members protect their livelihoods to maximise growth.
IP knowledge is necessary, together with creative skill, innovation and raw talent, to bring new designs to market successfully. Used positively by designers and manufacturers, the valuable ACID brand/logo informs the buyer of the value of originality, bringing benefits to both designer and design buyer. The ACID brand also underpins members’ significant track record of successful settlements.
Over the last two decades, ACID has championed design and spearheaded campaigns to bring design and IP issues to the fore. Design and IP reform is now one of Government’s top 10 recommendations.

ACID is a trusted network for designers, manufacturers, creative artists and innovators, we are also a leading source of intellectual property news, events and opinion pieces for the creative industries and design buyers.
