Bashing wealth and status may be a good campaign ploy, but apparently seeking it hasn’t gone completely out of style.
President Barack Obama campaigned on shutting the revolving door that allows administration officials to peddle their influence on K-Street, but top administration officials are looking to land some of the highest-paying lobbying jobs during Obama’s second term. Some top-level officials had already been in negotiations with lobbying firms before Obama even won reelection.

Why are you bending over and pointing your ass at the computer?
Because the Doctor is looking at your rash via webcam.
Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt is planning a technological revolution that could spell the end of the traditional doctor’s surgery.
A new system of “virtual clinics” is being planned in which GPs connect with patients via iPads and Skype, an idea that NHS bosses are importing from India.

Wal-Mart is taking legal action against its organized labor opponents, filing an unfair labor practice charge over widespread protests at its stores across the country — as well as rallies planned for Black Friday, considered the biggest shopping day of the year.
The company filed a complaint on Friday against the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, claiming the labor union — one of the nation’s largest — has unlawfully disrupted business by staging protests at Wal-Mart’s stores and warehouses around the country over the past six months.

Do the people who own Walmart really need to make anymore money? What if they decided that it just wasn’t worth it anymore, closed their stores, fired their employees and shut down for good?

Read Krugman nostalgically describe the high tax rates and strong unions of the 1950’s, and the Corporate CEO’s who made do with less.
Also read Krugman completely ignore the Post War Era when the US had NO serious global competition, a huge working consumer base, and minimal pension liabilities.
I wonder who is nodding appreciatively?

Many conservative Americans admire Governor Chris Christie’s direct no nonsense style and adroit handling of the Media. But many of those same Americans became uneasy with him after his display of touchy feelies with President Obama post Hurricane Sandy. There was an uncomfortable feeling that it shifted the momentum of the election to Obama.
Thousands of NJ residents (still in the dark) might now also be trending away from the Governor as he spends time mugging for Saturday Night Live while they are still without power, that is if they had seen it.
Tens of thousands of New Jersey residents are without power. Many have lost homes and everything else that they have. Some don’t have enough to eat and others are struggling to stay warm.
This is not the time for a responsible leader to go do his self-promoting shtick on Saturday Night Live. But Christie seems so tone deaf that he puts his self-promotion ahead of anything else.

“To batter this woman because they don’t feel they have the ability to batter President Obama is something we the women are not going to stand by and watch,” said Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis. “Their feckless and reckless speculation is unworthy of their offices as senators.”
Talk about your “dog whistle politics”!
Citizens expect the Congress to exercise oversight of the Administration. So any spokesperson, man or women that the Adminstration puts foreward is subject to scrutiny.
While it is obvious what the women of the Congrssional Black Caucaus really want, to silence criticism of the Obama Administration, what they are saying could be interpreted differently. Because Ambassador Rice is a woman, she cannot handle being challenged by men on her statements. So are women to be treated equally or not?
Are we only to put people in these jobs that are safe to criticize? If that was true then only conservative white men would get any of these jobs.

So the majority of the Middle East has governments which sponsor the killing of Christians, Jews, and gays.
communismkills:
But the most evil country of them all?
The one that lets Christians, Jews, and gays do what ever they want without any form of legal discrimination: Israel.
