The world-famous writing environment of Iowa City and the University of Iowa are tapped in this workshop teaching techniques, methodologies and practices in journalistic writing, reporting and editing for secondary school teachers.
Pre-writing strategies and activities to get students started on their next persuasive, narrative or reflective writing assignment will be explored.
Review and practice journalistic principles and apply them to teaching approaches to get your students involved in multiple media formats, including Web-based news, video and podcasts.
