lovelifesurf What Everyone Should Know About Lap Swim Etiquette Jan 30, 2013 9:30 AM Swimming is a great workout. Not only does it build cardiovascular fitness and lean muscle, it is a low impact exercise that’s a great complement to the high impact activities we do other times during the year like running. This can help aid in muscle recovery and injury prevention. Plus, I love the way I feel after a  great swim workout . But, I admit, getting in the pool during lap swim hours can be intimidating. It may seem like swimmers have their own code of conduct and rules. Well, we do. Curious about lap swimming etiquette? Read more here .
lovelifesurf 5 Exercises to Strengthen Your Knee Jan 24, 2013 7:08 AM It's been just about 10 months since my  knee surgery . While I've returned to many of my pre-surgery activities, there are still some things that aren't quite the same as they were before surgery. I think very consciously before I abruptly twist, turn or change direction. I also notice that despite all my physical therapy, there are still come discernible weaknesses and muscle imbalances. I know that it's going to take time and that I need to continue to do my exercises. After all, those were some of the  lessons I learned from this little injury , right? One of the things that I learned during physical therapy was that in order to strengthen and stabilize my knees, I needed to strengthen my hips and glutes. Yup, that's right. My hips and glutes are weak which leads to the instability in my knee. Strength in our hips and glutes are key in strengthening and stabilizing our knee joints. Here are 5 exercises that focus on these key muscle groups .

lovelifesurf How to stay active while on the road Jan 22, 2013 6:33 PM One of my biggest challenges is staying active and healthy while on the road. My days are typically packed from morning until night only to repeat again the next day. Since I have limited time to workout, I know that I have to be well prepared before I even get on the plane and, once I am away, that I have to make the most out of the time that I do have. Read my five tips that help me stay active while traveling here .

Josephksly Lose fat without counting calories Jan 10, 2013 10:54 PM This aspect is universal. This is the time, it's almost here. I put out a hundred and twenty percent. I'd prefer to see your thoughts in comments. It was an exciting discovery. I, movingly, must apprehend GC7X Surge dietary supplemen t . That was expedited by a myriad of experts. That made me hot under the collar. One man's trash pile might just be another man's treasure. Gurus proudly proclaim that they got GC7X Surge dietary supplement at a discount. Perhaps, that is the most robust success of GC7X Surge dietary supplement but I'm going to write a guidebook to help answer those questions. I'm an alarming thinker. If we're thinking along the same lines that means you should realize this I would dodge this ASAP. GC7X Surge dietary supplement is an unpopular tactic to seek out GC7X Surge dietary supplement .

Information Overload Beginner to the running world Nov 4, 2012 1:19 PM My name is Pam.  This past summer I started running and although I am not totally fat, I do need to lose about 30lbs.  I joined Herbal One and have lost about 20lbs which i am very proud of because I worked really hard to lost that.  The last little bit is what seems to be killing me.  I started running to see if this would make things easier (or at least see the number on the scale come down faster).  However, now I think I am on information overload.  I bought a heart rate monitor to do exactly that, monitor my heart rate.  Now it is October and I am a little more savy in what i think i am suppose to do.  I have just bought a slightly more complex one that will now monitor my calories burned, heart rate and monitor if my heart is in its 'target zone'.  I will be honest this is what flabergasts me.  This target heart rate zone and how long I should be in it.  On one web page my max heart rate should be 181 (220-39), fine, then another says to my target zone should be 147-157, well if i keep it in that range, i might as well be walking because the running part is all but in slow motion to keep my heart rate in that range.  Another site says that I should be able to carry on a conversation while i am running - if i am carrying on a conversation then why the heck am i running?!?!?! that's what walking is for?!?!?!?!. So what is it? just run because I can and forget the whole heart rate thing or run in my heart rate(in slow motion) and take the next 20 years to take the last 10lbs off? I can assure you I don't have patience for that........
