Simone Pallotta

33 years. Curator of Public and Urban Art.

He is graduated in “Literature and Philosophy” at the University of Rome in 2002 and specialized in “History of Contemporary Art” at the University of Udine in 2005.

Since 2006 he is involved in spreading Contemporary Public Art in the urban scenario, curating dozens of permanent interventions made by national and international artists on the Italian territory, often  in collaboration with government.

Among the artists with whom he worked, there are Blue, Sten & Lex, Escif and Aryz.

In 2010 he sets up an agreement with the City of Rome around the urban creativity coming to an official document for the dissemination of Public Art in some degraded areas of Rome.

 

As an expert in writing, in Street Art and in Public Art has been called as a speaker at Universities, Schools and Institutes of Culture for speech on the state of the art in the cities of the world and the interaction between art and territory.

In 2008 he became curator of WALLS, an association devoted to Public Art and to the interaction between the figurative culture, the people and the urban areas.

This year he was invited by Nufactory to curate the third edition of OUTDOOR urban art festival.
