REVIEW: Asus Echelon (Camo Edition) by James

Date: 31 January 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

I have really enjoyed my time with the Asus Echelon (Camo Edition) headset, I actually like the look of this ‘Camo Edition’ too. The headset came well packaged in a smart windowed box, allowing you to see the camouflaged headset within. The headset is extremely light (one of the lightest at 270 grams that we have tested!), this helps the Echelon to also be of the comfiest headset’s that I have tested.

REVIEW: CM Storm Skorpion by James

Date: 25 January 2013
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

So the CM Storm Skorpion mouse bungee works perfectly well, it undeniably helps to stop the mouse cord getting caught up on your desktop (if that’s a problem!). It also helps in keeping the mouse cord length down a little too.

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB – 2400MHz by James

Date: 17 January 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

As is usual with Kingston HyperX memory the RAM modules may not have had the most eye catching packaging, but when it comes to performance the Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB Kit (2x4GB) – DDR3 2400MHz memory has taken on all comers here at pcGameware, and won!

REVIEW: Asus Vulcan Pro by James

Date: 21 December 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

I must confess that I was a little concerned that Asus Vulcan Pro was going to be very similar to the original Vulcan ANC, a headset that I found to be a little lacking, when tested in February 2012. But my fears were definitely unfounded; what Asus have seemingly done is rebuilt the Vulcan from the ground up and what they have come up with is superior to its sibling in almost every way…

REVIEW: Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB – 2133MHz by James

Date: 10 December 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

The Kingston HyperX Predator 16GB Kit (2x8GB) – DDR3 2133MHz kit has put in a good showing during the time I have been testing. I would like to see Kingston jazz up their packaging just a little as this RAM is really geared more to the enthusiast market and you would not know from the packaging. Once inside the plastic wallet though the HyperX Predator memory shows its metal…

REVIEW: CM Storm Recon by James

Date: 23 November 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

The CM Storm Recon is actually the cheapest mouse that I have tested to date (I think!), it’s also one of the better mice that I have tested to date! Overall I have enjoyed my time with the Recon and it has helped me to numerous podium positions within Blacklight Retribution and Black Ops II and that probably tells you all you need to know; but I’ll give a little more detail…

REVIEW: Gigabyte 7970 GHz Edition by James

Date: 12 November 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

The Gigabyte 7970 GHz Edition is a really solid 7970 GHz Edition based card, the card came well packaged and sports a really cool (no pun intended!) custom designed cooler. In fact from a cooler point of view the Gigabyte 7970 GHz Edition has the lowest Delta temperatures that I have recorded for a 7970 GHz based card, that’s pretty impressive!

REVIEW: CM Storm Stryker by James

Date: 3 November 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

I have to admit to really enjoying my time with the CM Storm Stryker; the case came well packaged in a smart box and there was a good degree of extras included. From the small internal hidden toolbox to the inclusion of an 8-Pin power extension and the really useful Cooler Master Stand-Off Socket, all adding to the level of quality and value.

REVIEW: HIS 7950 IceQ BOOST by Mark

Date: 30 October 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

The HIS 7950 IceQ BOOST edition has like all previous HIS graphics cards been a pleasure to work with. HIS have improved the iTurbo assistant and it now provides an alternative way to overclock the graphics card rather than using the AMD Catalyst Control Center.

REVIEW: HIS 7970 IceQ X² GHz Edition by James

Date: 16 October 2012
spacer Reviewer’s thoughts

Wow! The HIS 7970 X GHz Edition was good, but this card, the HIS 7970 IceQ X² GHz Edition (H797QMC3G2M) is better, why? Because it offers everything that most Gamers want at a damn good price, what more do I need to say…
