Improving Access to Government
Letting your elected officials know what you think, both at the ballot box and once they’re in office, is what our democracy is founded on. To make it easier for as many people as possible to be able to have the chance to talk to him directly about what’s on their minds, Mayor McGinn hosts dozens of town hall-style meetings every year all across the city, in addition to the hundreds of other public meetings that department officials host throughout the year around specific issues. The calendar below represents all upcoming opportunities to engage with City officials, the mayor included, outside of City Hall; you can also check out the "Local government 101" page for other elected leaders whose jurisdiction includes all or part of Seattle.
