Laurel Kelly Joins Fathom As Account Leader

Recently, Fathom named Laurel Kelly as Account Leader.

Before joining Fathom, Ms. Kelly spent 12 years with the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving, one of the country’s largest community foundations. As Senior Communications Officer, Ms. Kelly successfully managed integrated marketing and communication strategies for the foundation. She brings over 15 years of experience as a relationship manager, project strategist, marketer and writer.

“We’ve known Laurel for years and have always enjoyed working with her. Her ability to channel various perspectives and ideas into action is a rare trait that Fathom needs to support its high-level and long-term client engagements,” said David Louden, Fathom Partner.

Ms. Kelly will be responsible for several large client accounts to ensure that the work bridges the gap between abstract ideas and concrete tactics. She is skilled in moving projects seamlessly from the big picture into finite details. Ms. Kelly’s abilities are equally matched by her natural inclination for strategic thinking and a passion for understanding how people relate to each other.

“I’ve always admired the level of quality and service Fathom delivers to its clients. I’m thrilled to be part of such a dynamic team,” said Ms. Kelly.

Her work achievements at the Hartford Foundation include successfully leading cross-departmental teams, reaching diverse audiences through improved online visits and engagement, developing and launching a comprehensive social media strategy and writing and editing an award-winning newsletter. From other work experiences prior to the Hartford Foundation, she brings a wealth of experience in integrated marketing and communications and project management strategy.

Ms. Kelly is currently the President of the Connecticut Valley chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) with a BA in Communications, she has also taken graduate level courses at Weslyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.
