SPRING 2011 CHECK-IN GUIDELINES

ALL Returning Students Check-in

Date: Saturday, January 22, 2011

Time:  10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: Campus Center Multi-Purpose Room

 
Frequently Asked Questions

Who should check in on Saturday, January 22nd?

  • In short, EVERYONE returning to Bard

Ø       Students returning from a leave of absence

Ø       Students who relocated housing at the end of the semester and require keys to their new room

Ø       Any returning student who resides on-campus

Ø       Any returning student who resides off campus

 What if I have a conflict with check-in times or am running late?

  • If you cannot come during prescribed check-in times and you are an on-campus student, you MUST contact the Office of Residence Life at reslife@bard.edu or x7455.  If you are an off-campus student you MUST contact DOSA at dosa@bard.edu or x7454
  • If you arrive between 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and  8:00 p.m. on Sunday check in at Security. Security will be staffed between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22nd and between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23rd.
  • If you arrive after 8:00 p.m. on Sunday:

Ø       on-campus students: please check-in with your PC and then with the Office of Residence Life on Monday

§         if you need to be let into your room, please report directly to Security

Ø       off-campus students: please check-in with the Dean of Student Affairs Office on Monday

 
If you are arriving during the week, (Monday-Friday 9-5), Business Hour late arrivals :

Ø       on-campus students: report to the Office of Residence Life (Annandale House)

Ø       off-campus students: report to the Dean of Student Affairs Office (basement of Ludlow)

  • After 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday late arrivals:

Ø       on-campus students: report directly to Security if you need to be let into your room and then check-in with the Office of Residence Life the next business day

Ø       off-campus students: report to the Dean of Student Affairs Office the next business day

 What if I am not financially cleared?

  • Student Accounts will be at check-in in the MPR on Saturday, January 22, from 10:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.  Be sure to bring payment with you.
  • If you are uncertain of your financial clearance status, contact Student Accounts directly at x7520.
  • If you are still not financially cleared once the semester starts, your locks will be changed, registration dropped and pay a $100 fee.

Late Arrivals

What if I have a conflict with check-in times or am running late?

  • If you arrive after 7:00 p.m. on Saturday or on Sunday:
    • on-campus students: please check-in with your PC and then with the Office of Residence Life on Monday
      • if you need to be let into your room, please report directly to Security
    • off-campus students: please check-in with the Dean of Students Office on Monday
  • If you are arriving during the week, (Monday-Friday 9-5), Business Hour late arrivals:
    • on-campus students: report to the Office of Residence Life (Annandale House)

For NOT Financially Cleared Students

  • If you are uncertain of your financial clearance status, contact Student Accounts directly at x7520.
  • If you are still not financially cleared once the semester starts, your locks will be changed, registration dropped and pay a $100 fee.

If you have not already done so, or have gotten a new cell phone
number, please remember to sign up for e2campus, our emergency
notification system, by going to inside.bard.edu/emergency.
