As MBC Tysons, we offer 9 different Community Groups for adults of all ages and stages to meet like-minded friends for Bible study and fellowship. Our Community Groups include life stage communities for married couples, parents, and single adults, an intercultural community for ethnically diverse adults and Bible study communities open to anyone with a heart to learn more about God's word.

spacer Union The first decade of marriage is filled with changes and excitement! Learning how to navigate the changes early in your relationship and establish godly patterns for the future are essential in order to achieve lifelong marital fulfillment. We also place great value on building relationships with other couples through social activities and service projects. Join us on Sundays at 9:00 am in Community Room B.

spacer Family Matters In the midst of adjusting to the joys and challenges of parenting young children, we believe it is important to be reminded of God's providence, comfort and faithfulness. You are welcome to join us any time and by the way, we have lots of babies in strollers who visit with us, too.  Sunday mornings at 9:00 am in Room 3400.


spacer Transitions is designed especially for parents of Jr. and Sr.  High students.  Parenting during this season can be a wild ride. It can be exciting and joyful, or daunting and scary. We are not a group that pretends everything is ‘just fine’.  We encourage one another to be honest and to seek answers in our relationship with Jesus Christ as we stand shoulder to shoulder during this transitional season of family life.  Join us Sundays at 10:45 am in Room 1410.  No registration required.  Just pop on in.

spacer TeamMates is where married couples, mid-life and beyond, ask important questions about life and answer them with Biblically-based teaching in a caring community. Sometimes, you need friends to cheer from the sidelines, and sometimes you need TeamMates to get in the game with you.  We are a community of friends who meet to build one another up and then go out and serve through mentoring and shepherding others.  Join us Sundays at 10:45 am in Community Room A. 


spacer Fuel This coed community of adults 20s, 30s, & early 40s provides a place for unmarried adults to get re-FUEL-ed. We feature a variety of topics that are unpacked by a speaker and followed by facilitated table discussion. There are plenty of social opportunities outside of Sunday when we gather for lunch, a game night, or fun outing, and serving together is high on our list of priorities as a group. Join us Sundays at 12:30 pm in Community Room C. No registration is required, and you are welcome to visit any time.

spacer Focus is a place where single adults in their mid 40s+ meet for Bible study and connection with others who share similar life stage issues.   We are a tight-knit coed community that enjoys hosting opportunities for social interaction and serving others together.  Some of our favorite activities include serving the children of Lincoln Heights, supporting the Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home Ministry, and honoring our troops through Operation Kindness.  Join us on Sundays at 10:45 am in Community Room B.   

 
spacer Friends & Fellowship welcomes a wide range of ages and spiritual backgrounds, including both new believers and those with doctorates and theological training. Members of Friends & Fellowship encourage one another to pursue a growing passion for Christ as they explore the deep questions of life with integrity and faithfulness. Our studies, led by group members, are frequently based on books from the great authors of the past and present. Join us any Sunday morning at 10:45 am in the South Conference Room on the Third Floor. No registration is required.  You are welcome to visit at any time.


spacer Discovering the Word is a Bible study group for adults of all ages.  We are a co-ed community that loves to dig deeply into the word and grow in our knowledge, understanding and wisdom of the Scriptures.  Our teachers lead us on a higher-level pursuit of Biblical knowledge through lecture and Q&A.  Though we enjoy studying, we are also very active and love our special times together at picnics and outings to places like Sight and Sound.  Join us any Sunday at 9:00 am in Community Room A.


spacer PrimeTime is a community of mature adults (age 60+) who meet for fellowship and Bible study led by MBC instructors. Our activities are designed to help the members of PrimeTime stay active and connected to one another in Biblical community.  We sponsor health care events, host periodic Saturday afternoon matinees, and take day trips.  We are faithful servants who have lived long lives and gained much wisdom.  Beside the honor bestowed on our gray crowns of glory, we have been recognized as hosting the best potluck luncheons at MBC!  Join us Sundays at 10:45 am in Room 3400.
