En 2012 se conmemora el centenario del nacimiento de Alan Mathison Turing. Durante 2012 y parte de 2013 se celebrarán a nivel mundial una colección de eventos con el fin tanto de conmemorar las aportaciones de Alan Turing como el refuerzo de la propia informática como disciplina que más allá de sus aplicaciones práctica, tiene también una sólida base científica. La celebración del Año Turing / Año de la Informática ofrece la oportunidad de difundir los avances mundiales y españoles en investigación en Informática así como los significativos y excelentes resultados que muestra España. Esta celebración estará coordinada por la Sociedad Científica Informática de España (SCIE) y cuenta con la colaboración de la Conferencia de Decanos y Directores de Ingeniería Informática de España (CODDI). |
2012 marks the centenary of the birth of Alan Mathison Turing. During 2012 and part of 2013, a worldwide collection of events will be held to celebrate both the contributions of Alan Turing and the coming of age of Computer Science as a discipline with a solid scientific basis in addition to its many practical applications. The Turing Year / Year of Informatics offers the opportunity to publicize the development of Informatics research globally, as well as the excellent results of the discipline in Spain. This celebration will be coordinated by the Computer Science Society of Spain (SCIE) and has the support of the Council of Deans of Informatics Engineering of Spain (CODDI). |
