Post-Doctoral Researcher Postion in Lattice QCD groups at BNL

The lattice QCD groups at BNL are looking for a post-doctoral researcher as part of an interdisciplinary research project that prepares ground for a new BlueGene/Q installation at BNL.

Requires a Ph.D. in nuclear or high-energy physics. Experience in lattice gauge theory and software developments is desired.

A starting date in February 2012 or earlier is preferred, but later dates may also be negotiable. The successful candidate is also expected to participate in the research activities of the local gauge theory groups on QCD at zero and non-zero temperature. He or she should show interest in computational physics questions that arise with the optimization of software for large scale computing, and is expected to contribute to the research projects which the Lattice QCD groups are preparing for the BlueGene/Q at BNL. Appointments will be made initially for 2 years. Review of applicants will start immediately and continue until the position is filled.
