Neal Vitale

President & Chief Executive Officer

Neal Vitale founded 1105 Media, Inc., in conjunction with Nautic Partners and Alta Communications, in April 2006. He is a veteran of the media and marketing industries, with over thirty years experience as an executive, consultant, and journalist. Vitale's career includes the acquisition and subsequent public offering and sale of Petersen Publishing, along with senior management roles at Reed Elsevier and Aspen Marketing Group. He is a director at American Business Media (ABM) and the Society of Independent Show Organizers (SISO), and also serves on the boards of several private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Vitale is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Richard Vitale

Senior Vice President
& Chief Financial Officer

Richard Vitale joined 1105 at its founding in 2006. He began his career in publishing with CBS Publishing (now Hachette Filipacchi USA), working in all areas of Finance and Accounting. Vitale was integrally involved in the acquisition and due diligence process when CBS acquired twelve consumer magazines from Ziff Davis, as well as in both the acquisition of the CBS Magazine portfolio by Diamandis Communications and eventual sale to Hachette. He has also held senior financial management positions at Reed Elsevier, where he was the winner of the presidential award for meritorious service to the company, and Advanstar Communications. Vitale received a BBA in Accounting and MBA in Finance from Iona College.

Michael J. Valenti

Executive Vice President

Mike Valenti was with one of the initial acquisitions of 1105 Media, 101communications LLC, where he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources. He joined 101 following a thirty-year career with the Los Angles Times, where he held numerous roles including management of circulation marketing and sales, customer service, single-copy sales, human resources, employee relations, and compensation and benefits. Valenti graduated from Iona College with a BA in Psychology. He is affiliated with the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Jeffrey S. Klein

Non-Executive Chairman of the Board

Jeff Klein was Chief Executive Officer of 101communications LLC prior to its acquisition, and he has remained with 1105 as Chairman of the Board. Prior to 101, he held senior management positions with the Los Angeles Times and Times Mirror, following a career as a lawyer. Klein has taught media law at the University of Southern California, and has been published in the Columbia Journalism Review and the Los Angles Times Book Review. He has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and community organizations. Klein received his master's from Columbia University and his law degree from Stanford University, after graduating summa cum laude from Claremont McKenna College.
