We're back with another analysis of GTAV screenshots, this time focusing on what we liked, disliked, and noticed from the recent batch of screens which were courtesy of IGN's daily previews.
Like:
Very obvious here, but it's something I can't help but point out, and that is the colour and draw distance of the game. Here you get to see the city from an amazing vantage point and some of the diversity within the city itself.
We really liked the sheer vastness of the map, especially in areas with no population such as this one. Countless spots to explore and even a railway that goes through the mountains. Win.
Dislike:
Kind of hard to pin down something I disliked about any of the images here, but I have to say, that scowl is etched on Trevor's face in all images, and something just seems off about it. Gonna refer to him as Mr Angry from now on.
One complaint from GTAIV was that when vehicles exploded, the frame was still 100% in tact. Rather disappointing that this truck is not a twisted heap of scrap metal...and still on all fours.
Noticed:
This is an awesome shot of a beachfront, notice how you see the various items of clothing, and a possible street entertainer there. Also notice how people are engaged in conversation, perhaps it's possible that we'll get to hear actual conversations being played out, rather than your standard one-liners from the previous titles.
You can see right through to the inside of the FIB building here, indicating you can enter it. While this may just be during a mission it definitely gives us high hopes for the other interiors (think Vice City police station). Also notice the boards conveniently connecting the two rooftops.
Did you see something in any of the new screens that you particularly liked, disliked, or noticed that we may have missed? Let us know in the comments!
