The name DOKAPI stems from the Esperanto du kapoj - two heads, the duo formed by guitarist Titus Koestler-Philipp and pianist Tilman Sommer.

The soulful and inspiring music of Dokapi sets a contemplative mood with the listeners, sparking their imagination and letting their mind wander, some kind of soundtrack for daydreaming. The distinctive features are the influences of Jazz-Rock, frequent improvisations of guitar and piano, the emphasis of rhythm and the balance of acoustic and electronic sounds.
