Face to Face with the Lovely Lynn Chen
Actor Lynn Chen, best known for her role in the 2005 breakout indie film Saving Face alongside fellow actors Michelle Krusiec and Joan Chen, once again graces the screen in her latest feature, Surrogate Valentine, which recently premiered at the South by Southwest Festival. Lynn plays the love interest of the main character, indie musician Goh Nakamura, who plays himself. The film has been well-received and the early buzz is starting to spread.
TaiwaneseAmerican.org’s Ho Chie Tsai catches up with Lynn to talk about her career as an actor and her involvements in several film projects since Saving Face. Additionally, Lynn is a foodie, but well-aware the struggles of young women around the issues of body image and self-esteem, and so maintains two blog sites including: theactorsdiet.wordpress.com and thickdumplingskin.com.

About the Author
Ho Chie Tsai is a founding Board Member who also wears many hats in the Taiwanese American community. As a frequent speaker on the collegiate conference circuit and youth summer camp programs, a past Program Director and current Board Member of the Taiwanese American Foundation, and a founder of the Taiwanese American Professionals chapter in San Francisco, he hopes to inspire a renewed sense of pride in personal identity and to increase activism and involvement within the greater Asian American community. Ho Chie holds an Electrical Engineering BS degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Bioengineering MS and an MD degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
