There is a new way to contribute to The NRA Foundation, and it doesn't cost you a cent. The search engine GoodSearch.com, which functions just like Yahoo (and is in fact powered by Yahoo) allows visitors to designate a charity each time they use the site. Goodsearch donates 50 percent of its revenue, most of which comes from advertising, to the charities designated, based on how often those charities are specified by users.

Goodsearch estimates that if 1,000 supporters of a charity did two searches a day, it would generate $7,300 a year for the specified group.

With about 80 million gun owners in the United States, two searches a day with The NRA Foundation designated as the charity works out to ... well, you do the math.

It's worth noting that PETA is one of the charities benefiting from their listing. What more incentive is needed to explore this?

If you want to try this method of contributing, visit www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=452577, or click on the ad below. Then go to the upper box and type in whatever topic you choose, just as you would in Yahoo, Google, etc.

That's all there is to it.

The NRA Foundation, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. For more information about The NRA Foundation, visit www.nrafoundation.org.
