The ChipIn widget is a small indicator of the progress of your event that you can post to your blog, Web site, or favorite online community.

4. Follow the instructions below for :
- myspace
- Note that MySpace prevents links on widgets from opening in a new browser window. Tell your viewers that after clicking on the ChipIn! button on the widget that they will need to copy and paste the URL into their browser.
- Copy your widget code (see above).
- Go to www.myspace.com (this link will open in a new window).
- Go to the edit profile section of your MySpace.
- Paste your widget code into the About Me section (or another section) of your profile.
- Click on Preview Profile.
- Click on Save all changes.
- evite
- Copy your widget code (see above).
- Go to www.evite.com (this link will open in a new window).
- Paste your widget code in the Message to Guests section of your Evite.
- Click save.
- xanga
- Copy your widget code (see above).
- Go to www.xanga.com (this link will open in a new window).
- Go to the New Weblog Entry section of your Xanga.
- Check the Edit HTML box.
- Paste your widget code into the text box.
- Press submit.

- Once on your blog page, click on Create new post.
- Click on the Edit Html tab.
- Paste your widget code into the text box.
- Click on the Publish Post button.

- Click on Edit page under the Website tab.
- Click on the HTML content module on the left side of your screen.
- Drag it under Sidebar or Wide column. The location of your ChipIn widget will be determined by the placement of this module.
- Click on Edit.
- Paste your widget code into the text box.
- Click Save Changes.

- Open the profile section of your friendster.
- Click on Edit Profile.
- Paste your widget code into the About Me section of your profile.
- Scroll down and click on the Save button.

- Go to the My Profile tab of your hi5 and click on Edit.
- Select the Lifestyle tab.
- Paste your widget code into the About Me section of your profile.
- Click on the Save Profile button.

- Click on the Blogs link at the top of your page.
- Click on Post New Blog.
- Click on Click here for Normal Editor.
- Paste your widget code into the text box.

- Move your mouse over the Tools tab on the right side of your Piczo homepage.
- Click on the Text button.

- Click on Personalized Home at the upper right.
- Click on Make it your own.
- Click on the Show my page button.
- Click on Add stuff in the upper right corner of your screen.
- Click on the Add by URL link next to the search box.
- Enter the URL widget.chipin.com/widget/widget.google.xml and click add.
- Click on Back to homepage in the upper left corner of your screen.
- Paste in your ChipIn event ID and click save.
- netvibes
- Copy your ChipIn event ID (see above).
- Go to www.netvibes.com (this link will open in a new window).
- Click on Add content in the upper left corner.
- Click on Mini API module on the bottom left of your page.
- Click on the Edit link.
- Enter the URL widget.chipin.com/widget/widget.netvibes.html.
- Click on Add to my page.
- Move your mouse over the title bar and click Edit.
- Enter your ChipIn event ID and select your desired size option, then click ok.
- wordpress
- Note that the widget will not work on hosted WordPress blogs (blogs at yourname.wordpress.com), as widgets are not allowed there.
- To add the widget to a new post on your non-hosted WordPress blog, follow the instructions below.
- Copy your widget code (see above).
- Log into your WordPress blog.
- Make sure you disable using the rich text editor by selecting the Options menu, then selecting Writing, then unchecking the Users should use the visual rich editor by default option.
- Click on the Write menu.
- Paste the widget code into the Post field.
- Click Publish.
- widgetbox
- Click on this link to go to Widgetbox with your widget preferences (this link will open in a new window).
- Click on Get Widget and follow the instructions at Widgetbox to put the widget where you want.
- typepad
- To add the widget to your TypePad sidebar, click here.
- To add the widget to a new TypePad post, follow the instructions below.

- Click on the Weblogs tab.
- Click on Create a Post under Shortcuts.
- Click on the Edit HTML tab.
