Bristol-based private client stockbroker and wealth manager Rowan Dartington has turned to the South West team at Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets for all its banking services after 16 years with its previous bank.
The move follows the acquisition of the nationwide business, which has its HQ in Colston Tower in the city centre, by staff and external investors, including new chief executive Graham Coxell. The firm, which also has offices in London. Chichester, Weston-super-Mare, Hereford and Loughton, Essex, has £1 billion of client assets under management.
Mr Coxell said: “With a commitment to high quality customer service, it’s vitally important to have the backing and support of a strong financial partner like Lloyds Bank with its team of experts right on our doorstep in Bristol.”
The team from Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets worked closely with Rowan Dartington to efficiently manage the complex transition. Relationship director Mark Newman said: “Managing the finances of a stockbroking business is by no means straightforward, so we were keen to really get under the skin of Rowan Dartington to fully understand the business and develop financial services tailored to the firm’s needs. We also brought in a dedicated project team to ensure the transition was as smooth as possible.”
Area director Clive Hetherington added: “Rowan Dartington is an impressive business with a strong South West heritage that has been on our radar for many years, so we’re very pleased to be working with Graham’s new team. The firm has considerable growth potential and we’re keen to support the business as it expands.”
Established in 1990, Rowan Dartington’s 90 staff provide a broad range of stockbroking services, specialising in advisory and discretionary investment management.
