About PGXN Manager
PGXN, the PostgreSQL Extension network, is a central distribution system for open-source PostgreSQL extension libraries. As of this writing, it consists of:
- An upload and distribution infrastructure for extension developers.
- A centralized index and API of distribution metadata.
This Webapp handles the management of these parts of the infrastructure. So if you'd like to develop and release PostgreSQL estensions, you've come to the right place! For the impatient, here's how to get started:
- Register for an acount.
- Once your account has been approved, you'll be notified via email. Go ahead and login.
- Create an extension and package it up for distribution. Basically, that means using
PGXS to build your extension, and creating a
META.jsonfile according to the PGXN Meta Spec. - Package up your distribution into an archive file (zip, tarball, etc.). Upload it to release!
