Providing Context Helps

Yesterday at work, I got the following comment (paraphrased)

Other: You are going to lead the project

Me: OK

Other: Here are the stuff you need deal with:
Task A
  ... description ...
Task B
  ... description ..
you have indicated that the information provided was complete and you have accepted it.
  ... blah blah ...

Me: I am ok except for the following line:
you have indicated that the information provided was complete and you have accepted it.

... confusion ensues ...

Me: Ok let me paraphrase what you said:
Archie had indicated that the information provided was complete and Archie had accepted it.

Other: Ooops.  That part was something I copied and pasted from an e-mail that describes the new work that I got

... LOLs ensue ...

The lesson? Be careful when copying and pasting.  If it has pronouns, make sure you provide the context otherwise confusion and LOLs ensue.

Posterous currently not the right one for me

Just tried to see how far I can take Posterous as I had a late night coffee drink at Starbucks earlier. After much experimentation, I found that Posterous didn't really do what I really wanted it to do, though it did the reverse. I wanted Posterous to read my existing feeds and put the data into my Posterous blog. I have already sent an e-mail to the Posterous team to see if they make it possible, that's about the only feature that is missing for me at the moment. I'll just keep www.trajano.net/ to Posterous for the time being.
