Driving Directions from Grand Rapids, MN to Marcell Experimental Forest, S1 Bog
Updated Directions - Marcell Road Construction - June 18 to September 5, 2012

June 18: Visitors to the SPRUCE Experiment will need to take an alternate route to the Marcell Experimental Forest for much of the summer. New directions are below and will add 8 to 10 minutes to the drive.

“NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE ITASCA COUNTY 49 (WABANA ROAD): County Road 49 (Wabana Road) will be closed to thru traffic between County Road 60 and County Road 59 due to bridge constructions beginning Monday June 18th, 2012. The bridge construction site is located across Wabana Creek approximately one quarter mile west of County Road 59. It is anticipated that the road will be reopened soon after Labor Day.”
