Working Groups

Working Groups studied and prepared reports and recommendations on topics identified by the SPSC, F-SPAC and SE-SPAC. The Working Groups engaged the Dartmouth community broadly during their deliberations.

Charge to the Working Groups

  • Address topics defined by advisory committee(s)
  • Ensure attention to established strategic planning Guiding Principles and Guiding Questions
  • Coordinate with advisory committee(s)  to refine definition of topics
  • Identify and gather data and information to address topics
  • Explore external factors and trends that affect fields, disciplines, and higher education
  • Seek community input broadly via individual conversation, coordination with other working groups, open forums, web-based and social media tools, and other means
  • Establish routines for periodic communication with relevant advisory committee(s) to discuss status of work, address questions, resolve issues, and obtain feedback
  • Prepare draft report and recommendations for advisory committee review and feedback
  • Incorporate feedback, prepare final report, and deliver to advisory committee(s)
