Before you begin your order, please make sure you have the following information to hand:
We'll contact you if we need to check any of your order details. If you do need to make any changes to your BT home move once you've placed your order, you can contact us.
If you're moving within the same telephone exchange area (e.g. Lincoln 01522) it may be possible for you to keep your current phone number – we'll let you know when you start your home move. If you need a new number, we can arrange for your current number to be redirected – just choose Caller Redirect when you place your order and we'll do the rest. Start your home move.

We'll let you know if you need a new line when you start your home move. If you do need a new line, a connection charge up to £130 will apply – but all our customers who are moving home are eligible for a special connection charge discount – just choose one of our special deals when you order.
If you choose to upgrade to BT Vision or BT Infinity in your new home (and you don't already have it in your current home), an activation charge may apply.
If you want to cancel one or more of your BT products when you move home, early termination charges may apply if you are within the minimum contract period. See details of the early termination charges.
If you are moving home and taking all your BT products with you, there will be no charges. If BT is unable to provide any of your existing products at your new address, you will not be held to term for these products.

If you're moving home and taking all your BT products with you, you should let us know as soon as you have a confirmed moving date. It usually takes under two weeks to organise, but can take longer. So it's best to arrange as early as possible, so we can make sure you're all up and running when you move into the new place.

If you need a new line installed in your new home, or you are taking BT Infinity broadband, you'll need to be at the property for an engineer visit. You can book your engineer visit during your home move order.
We'll do our best to provide all your BT products at your new address. The availability of broadband and broadband speed will depend on the phone line in your new home and the distance from your local telephone exchange. BT Vision availability is dependent on the broadband speed available and Freeview coverage at your new address. When you start your home move, we'll let you know which products are available. You can add Caller Redirect when you arrange your home move. Caller Redirect automatically answers calls to your old phone number and tells incoming callers your new number. Calls to the old number are free of charge.
Note: Caller Redirect can only be ordered as part of your home move. You won't be able to order it once your order has been placed.
